Unnamed Guitar Pokemon

So every generation has its odd looking pokemon based on inanimate objects right? (vanilluxe, claydol, magnemite). well i present to you....what ever this things name will be xD

Name: Acustar, The Guitar Pokemon
Type: Normal/Ghost (??)
Ability: Acoustics (explained in abilities section)
Dex Entry: This pokemon's lonely cries are often mistaken for melodic tunes. It searches day and night for someone to play it.

Concept art coming soon I am working on it. It will look something like an upside down bass guitar. the eyes will be where the pickups are and the opening will be the mouth

If we're going to be making any inanimate object pokemon, it should definitely be based on the Kasa-obake This Japanese legend involving inanimate objects coming to life has inspired other pokemon as well, including Banette.

However, I guess the guitar idea could work. Normal/Ghost is a good type. Maybe it could evolve from a lute?

i didn't plan on having an evo but that works! i am making a lot of concept art i will try making one for a prevo also gimme a sec i will add base stats to the OP also a movepool (if anyone wants to contribute to the movepool that would be great) its mainly going to be a special attacker that does a lot of annoying moves (metal sound, supersonic, etc.)

doing some reaserch on the lute I've realized that they are instruments very similar to the arabic "OUD". This is very intresting and I thought of a name of this. How about naming it Allute wich means "the lute" by combining an arabic word wich is "AL" for "The" and the english word for lute.

For the guitar I came up for several names:
-Guitango if it is based on the spanish guitar.
-Accoustar if it is based on an accoustic guitar.
-Guitric if it is based on an electric guitar wich needs to be electric typed (Normal/electric souds appealing but Steel/electric could be better).

Anyway I love the idea and I will help you with the movepool but t may take some time!

well its actually based off of my acoustic electric bass guitar. and it HAS to keep the ghost type because it is supposed to be a lost soul looking for the person to play it. changing the sub type to electric or steel i would have no problem with though

Nevertheless, it's a good name. I'd be interested to see some tentative concept art for the evo before we start finalizing a name.

allute is perfect since it is going to be a baby pokemon. accoustar sounds nice but its a bit redundant mixing sound with instrument. maybe someway to add spirit or something with guitar?

Ellute... Means exactly the same but involves more complex arabic grammar LOL!

Adding spirit to guitar? Something like Spiritar? (Not much thinking was involved to make this, I'll understand if you say it's too obvious)

Acustar sounds like a mutilated version of acoutsic + guitar and the spelling is ever so slightly less obvious than Acoustar.

now that i think about it 'star' kind of implies light but its a ghost type. maybe acustor?

Acustor sort of loses the "guitar" in the name. And besides, I don't see anything wrong with "star". Many renditions of ghosts are luminous anyway.

I go with gelo's name... It keeps guitar, adds accoustic to the equation and involves the night (Star) perfect for ghost type pokemon like our friend here! And the new spelling is very smart too and can relate to acute too or accurate wich also reveals some sort of music involvement about how the note needs to be accurate to have an acute sound! LOL

"Acute" and "accurate" aren't musical terms, but whatever.

I know... But I searched and found out that acute can relate to the phonetics and the pronounciation of the letters (Mostly vowels). So acute can relate to the sound in some sort! Accurate really doesn't but whatever!
