Mallad & evolutions

Hey,Jwoo, i'm trying to do Mallad's evolution sprite and i would like you to post a drawing of its wings and body in general. If you cannot for some reason, don't worry i can always invented it but as it's your drawing it would be nice if you had it completed.

actually im not good at drawing wings at all so if you could invent that part i would really appreciate it

Well, i finished all my exams so i am returning after some months...
This is a sketch of mallad's evolution, of course it's not completed as it only has plain colours and all outlines are black. I'm only posting this because i would like to hear your ideas about its tail and wing. I'm not sure of what have i drawn and i'm willing to change it, but i'm not sure how...

PS;Isn't too big or it's just me..?[img][/img]

I like the pose and the leafy tail. But, maybe instead of it having only one leaf it can have multiple tail leaves like birds actually have multiple tail feathers stacked one above the other... I have no other thing to say! Good job!

Well. I'm going to try a drawing. I will upload it later, it is just that I currently have some problems. Also, I designed a Pokédex.

The legs on the drawing are incredibly disproportionate, but don't worry; I know from experience that birds are hard to draw without a reference picture.

i honestly like both of the designs a lot i like the multiple leaf idea but DiZ maybe try making the leaves more rounded? also smaller legs but other than that its awesome

I'm a little bit confused.. I have asked help to complete wings and tail and you (DiZ) have brought a new design...I'm not saying it's wrong but just i was following TA design... Which one should i follow now?

If I had to choose between the two I'll have to go with your design dimafo cz it fits more the concept of the bird and it's already sprited.
I'm not saying that DiZ's design is bad cz it's really good and it looks like more a duck than dimafo's but I like the latter slightly more.
I think j woo is the one who needs to choose. Lets wait and see. Both work are good!

i will also have to go with dimafo's design (no offense DiZ) just because it follows the original concept a bit. both could use some improvements though so i will wait to fully judge the final designs

No offense taken. Okay, I'm fine with it. It's just an idea. But I made the leaves based on Tropius' leaves.

I have already said that but i still think it's a good idea:
jwoo, you should make a new sprite of Mallad itself taking as a model the drawing you made for Mallad's first evo. Then for second evo we would have my sprite based on your drawing. And for the third evo we could have a design based on DiZ drawing (perhaps a little bit more different now it would be third evo).
What do you think?

added the base stats also dimafo i feel like my drawing and your sprite look too similar to be different pokemon but i do like the idea (with a few edits) of DiZs idea being the 3rd evo

No way, i wasn't saying making them different pokémons. My proposal was; - you renew the sprite you made making it similar to the little green bird, that would be the first duck in the evolutionary chain. - The first evo would be my sprite (i need to remake it because i still don't like it) which is based on the other drawing you made. Then you could create a third evo, if you want. How's that ?

that actually sounds like a pretty good idea i will make concept art for the 3rd evo xD
